Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 September 2026
My Sales Log is a dealership sales-logging tool from Webster & Co. This policy covers both the web app at mysaleslog.netlify.app and the My Sales Log Chrome extension, which opens as a side panel so a sales manager can log a deal without leaving the page they are working on.
What the extension handles
- Your sign-in details. The email address and password you type are sent straight to My Sales Log's authentication service to sign you in. Your password is never stored by the extension.
- Your session. After sign-in, session tokens are kept in Chrome's local extension storage on your own device so you stay signed in. Signing out deletes them.
- The deal you enter. The details you type into the panel — date, status, customer name, stock number, vehicle, the salespeople and managers involved, front gross and trade figures — are saved to your dealership's record in My Sales Log, exactly as if you had typed them into the web app.
What it does not do
- It does not read, collect or transmit the content of any web page you visit. It runs no content scripts and asks for no access to the sites you browse.
- It does not collect your browsing history, tabs, bookmarks, location or files.
- It contains no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking of any kind.
- Your data is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising, and it is never used to train any model.
Permissions, and why each one exists
- sidePanel — to open the panel when you click the toolbar icon. This is the entire user interface.
- storage — to keep your session on your device so you are not asked to sign in for every deal.
- Access to the My Sales Log server — the extension may contact the My Sales Log backend and no other host. That is the single destination for every request it makes.
Where the data goes
To My Sales Log's backend, hosted on Supabase, which is the same service the web and iOS apps already use. Access is controlled per-user by row-level security: you can see and write only what your role at your own store allows. No other third party receives your data.
Keeping it, and getting rid of it
Deals stay in your dealership's My Sales Log account as its business record; your dealership decides how long that is. To remove locally held data, sign out of the panel or remove the extension — that clears everything it stored on your device. For access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and its data, write to the address below.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
